Peter Hartley will take charge of his first league fixture as Brackley Town manager when Spennymoor Town visit St James Park on Saturday. The match kicks off at 3pm local time in Northamptonshire.
Hartley’s side sit 19th in the National League North with 12 points from 10 games. Their recent form is mixed, with two wins, a draw and two losses in their last five outings. That run includes a 0-2 home defeat to Chelmsford City in the FA Cup last Friday, a result which ended their involvement in the competition.
Match details and supporter travel
Spennymoor Town’s supporters group has organised coach travel for the 214-mile trip. The coach departs from Durham Road at 8:15am on Saturday, with a fare of £35 per passenger.
Brackley’s last league win was a 3-2 victory over South Shields at the end of September. They followed that with a 1-1 home draw against Scarborough Athletic. The club’s current position, 11 points behind leaders Hereford, underlines the importance of securing points in matches like this one. A full breakdown of the league table is available in our standings section.
The game represents a key opportunity against the division’s bottom side. Brackley Town’s next scheduled fixture is this home clash with 23rd-placed Spennymoor Town on 10 October.
